If your SHO starts over heating very quickly then chances are your thermostat needs to be replaced. Thermostat failure can appear in many ways. Failure can happen as sudden overheating (thermostat stuck closed) or it can appear as an engine that does not like to warm up (thermostat stuck open). Finally, we have seen thermostats that will intermittantly stick closed or open, so you get erratic temperature swings.
We highly recommend replacing your thermostat every 60k miles.
This thermostat has the jiggle vavle to allow the cooling system to properly bleed unlike most aftermarket thermostats.
195 deg unit or 180deg unit for racing applications.
Includes the gasket.
Install the thermostat with the jiggle valve to the top for best operation.
