SHOs use a bias valve mounted to the rear control arms. This bias valve constantly adjusts the front to rear braking proportion based on the position of the suspension (as the car compresses in the front and lifts the rear), more braking force is directed to the front rotors. This worked very well from the factory, but many things have changed that can adversely affect the bias valve.
1) You lowered the car and it changed the geometry of the bias valve.
2) The bias valve is rusted, broken or stuck so it does not work any more.
3) You have changed the size of the rotor on the front or rear, so the bias balance is not correct.
Bias plugs delete the function of the bias valve and give you constant front/rear braking force to help resolve the three issues above. Modifying your braking system can lead to loss of control, brake failure, property damage, injury or death. By purchasing and/or installing bias plugs, you acknowledge that these are purchased for off-road use only and you release SHO Source and its suppliers from any liability caused by the use or misuse of the products.
We suggest you gradually experiment with the changed braking characteristics in a safe location.
Installation of bias plugs has a difficulty of 3 out of 10.
By purchasing or installing this kit you release SHO Source LLC and it suppliers from any liability or damages that may be caused by the use or misuse of this product.
