We offer hand-ported and polished intake runners and manifolds as a less-expensive alternative to extrude honing. Some believe hand-porting is superior to Extrude Honing due to imperfections in the castings which can be otherwise going unnoticed by the Extrude Hone process. The tanks can also be gasket matched to the runners to get the most out of your ported runners.
Larger intake runners and butterflies helped improve TQ by reducing the turbulence layer normally present at the wall of the intake runner. The roughness of the intake runner wall creates a turbulent layer with very little airflow. By smoothing out the roughness and enlarging the cross section of the runner, Larger Intake Runners effectively increases the intake runner’s efficiency in delivering more air to the cylinder head. As a result, the volumetric efficiency of the engine goes up, improving TQ.
Due to our porting done in-house now as well as the increased quality on our porting work, we have had to raise our prices. We now do thorough cleaning, polishing as much of the surface scratchs out as possible, and making sure our freshly ported surface is as smooth and nice as possible.
Our intakes for same have normal wear and scuffs, however, we have tried to hand pick the best we can find as well as polish out any scuffs. The cost of the whole intake is $125 and the cost for just the runners is $75. We recommend buying a complete intake so all the ported holes match up perfectly.

Runners: We gasket match the runners to both the tanks and the heads.We port as far as can be reached in the runners. Secondaries will be opened significantly.
The Tanks: As an option we will gasket match the Tanks so that you will get the most out of the porting job. In stock the form the tanks and runners do not match up.
BBBs should be done at the same time as a ported intake.
