The factory rear control arms only have a very limited adjustment range, which is not enough to correct alignment on most lowered or performance driven SHOs. The best option before today was Ingalls arms. They did not always fit the bolts tightly, and they were steel, so they rusted over time. They were very good, but they are no longer available, so we were forced to come up with even a better option.
SHO Source is happy to bring the first new SHO product to market in 2018: Adjustable Stainless/Aluminum Rear Control Arms.
We started with red annodized tubular hexagonal 6061 T6 aluminum for the main body of the arms. This aluminum is incredibly strong and they are annodized to help resist corrosion. The arms are hexagonal so you can easily adjust them with an end wrench to avoid damaging the surface. If hexagonal 6061 T6 annodized aluminum arms is not enough, we added polished stainless steel rod ends with replaceable urethane bushings. The polished stainless steel is very corrosion resistant, and we even used stainless steel jam nuts. We even made custom stainless steel bushings to ensure a tight fit to the factory bolts.
These arms give you ultimate adjustability, excellent corrosion resistance, and a work of art. It is really a shame to hide them under your car.
Each complete rod and ends weigh 2lbs, 8.25 oz. compared to the Ingalls roughly 9lbs a piece.
These allow for ±2° of adjustment.
Includes 4 control arms, enough to do both sides.
The arms come with custom made stainless steel bushings for a perfect fit to the factory bolts so you can reuse the factory hardware.
There is no provision for the bias control valve, but you can easily modify and clamp the factory bracket to the red aluminum hex with stainless steel hose clamps.
We highly recommend using silver anti-seize to reduce corrosion potential on the threads. Do not use copper based anti-seize on aluminum.
